VAN LOVE
We met online during Covid. After three months of knowing each other we built and lived out of a van for two months, traveling the country with the idea that we'd like to know if this was going to work... Needless to say, neither of us flew home and we've been adventuring together ever since.

THINGS TO DO
If you’re looking for other things to do in the area here are a few items that are quite enjoyable;
-
Historic Bethlehem: Main street Bethlehem offers restaurants, shops, and the Moravian Book Shop claimed as “the oldest bookstore in America”. Easy place to show up and go for a stroll.
-
National Museum of Industrial History is located in Bethlehem at the SteelStacks which is the site of the historic Bethlehem Steel factory now converted into an arts and cultural area. There is a free raised walkway that takes you up close and personal to the very impressive stacks as well as an arts center and various concerts and events happening. The museum is a fascinating showcase of industrial history with everything from giant steam engines to historic “coded” weaving machines.
-
Lehigh University Campus: If you want to see where Chris went to school and works, Lehigh is an open and beautiful campus to go for a walk through. Be sure to check out Linderman Library if you do and/or ask Chris for other spots to check out.
-
Frenchtown an adorable small town along the Delaware River about 25 minutes from our house with coffee shops, quaint main street stores, restaurants (ice cream), river views, and miles of towpaths weaving along New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
-
Pulpit Rock and The Pinnacle: Appalachian Trail section with great vistas. About a 40 minute drive from our house, should plan for most of the day if you’re doing this.
-
Lehigh Grand Prix: A random but surprisingly fun activity, this place offers pretty high powered indoor go-carts with side by side time trialing in an old Mack Truck warehouse…
-
Floating, Paddling and Fishing: We like our little local waterways so if you’d like a quick fish there are many locally stocked trout waters we can direct you to. Or we could lend you a kayak and you can go for a paddle or tube float on the Delaware River or local lake.
-
Places to Eat: There are LOTS but here are a few fun/interesting/good ones;
-
Limon: Amazing Turkish food in small “hole in the wall” location
-
Biryani City: The best local Indian food there is… we always to take out and always make sure to do at least one order of Gobi Manchurian
-
The Bookstore Speakeasy: a basement “speakeasy” with fancy cocktails and good food… if you go order the crispy chickpeas
-
The Social Still: A historic bank converted into a distillery with house made spirits and good food
-
The Flying Egg: Among many options to eat in North Bethlehem but this is a nice breakfast place
-
The Coop (The Coopersburg Diner): not even five minutes from the house with every selection a diner could offer
-
Torre: A large Mexican restaurant with nachos that can feed four as a meal.
-
